Surge's Warehouse

Post by Surge on Thu Oct 09, 2014 1:22 am

Let's start off with a copy of what I posted on KCS, and get up to date from there.
Here are some of my more older and recent projects.

HR33 Autech (any true gtr fan should be able to recognize the color. A friend and I spent 30 mins. tweaking it with custom refmaps and specular settings.)
Spoiler:

964 RWB (did front bumper and etc from scratch)
Spoiler:

1991 Mugen NSX (entered this in a competition and won)
I made most of the parts from scratch like the wheels etc, a friend helped with the body kit.
Spoiler:

Ura's ER34 and BN Sports FD These two are still a wip.
Spoiler:

Recently did these wheels:
Spoiler:

lastly, I just finished this yesterday[many days ago now]
Spoiler:

TIRE TEX
Spoiler:
Decided to make some textures today. I made treads for Toyo Proxes T1R and RA1. I have T1R Sidewall someone else made.

For the T1R, in Zmod
tread      - add 93 across all 3 channels
sidewall  - add 153 across all 3 channels

For the RA1 (uses RR sidewall) in Zmod
tread      - add 133 across all 3 channels
sidewall  - add R:86, G:82, B:80

RR Sidewall (could not find suitable RA1 sidewall)

EDIT: fixed

Super Advan Racing V2's originally made by Turn 10, edited for shape and relipped and retextured. Front bumper is a stock GT-T unit that was hacked up. You can see the Advans on my blog albeit an earlier verssion with an incorrect stepped lip. If you want 'em pm me, as usual.

This time it's a 964. WIP. Came from Marko originally, but may trace it's roots through Keisuke in the form of the 930 Stella Artois RWB. I've done the side skirts, rear bumper and front bumper. The wheels came from slrr , and I completetly redid them. I had to re drill them in a 5x130 bolt pattern. They are 18" Work Meister S1 3Ps in 12.out back and 10.5J up front. 315's out back and 265's up front. I made the center hub too. Enjoy The pics. I Tried my hand at Zmod rendering. Fairl[ad]y* easy.

*whats comin next:
GTR (gtrgtasamods.blogspot.com) sent me the engine to his Akuma no Zeto Z and told me to redo my first car here. So I did it with  70's works style fenders and a pantera hatch, a disco ball hanging from the rear view mirror, boso exhaust and some SSR Focus Racing wheels. All of this was completely made from scratch. Then I edited some foglights from Marko and a tsurikawa by club which I fixed the normals on and tweaked. I also added a front oil cooler and there is also a rollcage tweak from forza, a japanese rising sun spray painted on under neath the hood and the Cherry X1-R tails. I'm wrapping it up.

Lastly, another NSX. A Sorcery/Kakimo spec NA2. It's been "aborted" now. I did redo the Ce28's to make the rears and I made the rear wing and front bumper and qtr panels. lost interest, will maybe resume later.

Now some drift pics

Planned mods: US Indy slot mags, mexican blanket interior, Hurst 4 on the floor, misc. custom body work, conversion to a sedan delivery, Z/28 Motor.

Base by Dan Palatnik:

Target:

Actual start progress (already painted PPG Hugger Orange)

I found a vector of the decal on the Revell website:

"Everyone knows that Mexican blankets, available at any Southwest kitsch store for $8.99 a whack, are the rat rod standard. Here's a spin on that idea, with nice upholstery accented by serape material."
